Privacy Policy

AetherCompute ("AetherCompute", "we", "us") operates the aethercompute.app website and the AetherGrid compute orchestration platform. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

• Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and Google account ID from the OAuth flow.
• Workload metadata. Job specifications you submit (container images, commands, GPU counts, schedules), job events, logs, and cost records.
• Usage data. API requests, telemetry about nodes and GPUs you run, and operational logs used to operate the service.
• Credentials you provide. Cloud storage credentials and API keys you register are stored encrypted at rest (Fernet symmetric encryption) and are never returned by list APIs.

2. How we use information

• Provisioning, scheduling, and monitoring your compute workloads.
• Authenticating access and enforcing per-user quotas and roles.
• Cost accounting, billing reconciliation, and capacity planning.
• Security monitoring, abuse prevention, and incident response.

3. Cookies and sessions

We use a signed session cookie to keep you signed in and short-lived HMAC-signed tokens to authorize dashboard API calls. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

4. Third-party services

• Google OAuth for authentication (subject to Google's privacy policy).
• Cloud providers (Google Cloud, AWS, RunPod) that host infrastructure and execute your workloads. Your training data remains in storage buckets you control.

5. Data retention

Job metadata, events, and telemetry are retained while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us; we will comply within 30 days except where retention is legally required.

6. Security

Secrets are encrypted at rest, transport is encrypted in transit (TLS), and access to production systems is restricted by role. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; if you suspect a security issue, contact us immediately.

7. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
